Highland Games are a celebration of Scottish and Celtic culture and heritage. Games include much socializing, joyful competitions in Highland Dance, Bag Pipes & Drum and awesome Heavy Athletics, such as tossing around tree trunks (Cabers). Other activities include Scottish food & drink, Craft Vendors and hosted tent displays by many, many Clans. Contemporary Celtic musical bands perform as well as classical and of course Bag Pipers galore. Some Games feature other events such as sheep-herding dogs, children's activity areas, British cars and adult beverages. Plan to come out and enjoy a family-oriented festival.
