Attending Highland Games is a fun and informative family outing - community festivals are a colorful part of our Celtic heritage - come out and celebrate your Scottish heritage with us in dance, athletics, music, parades, food, costumes, animals, cars, crafts, adult beverages and more.
Come out and enjoy the fun with ol friends or make new ones.
Paul D Ross,
The CRAmerica 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Oct 14 in Ventura Calif during the Seaside Highland Games, October 13-15. The CRA Board will hold their business meeting Friday, then the membership meeting will gather by the Clan Ross tent on Saturday the 14th.
The Ventura Games are especially delightful because of the location, right on the ocean, and they are easily accessable by freeway or Amtrak. The site is at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Hotels and campgrounds are available within 1-2 miles. Visit www.seaside-games.com for all the Games details, and check out our April 2017 Newsletter for all the Clan Ross activity details.
In addition to the Friday night banquet and fashion show, a big Scottish ceilidh is being planned for Saturday night, along with 3 other Clans holding their AGM at Ventura. Details are in the April CRA Newsletter, including hotels offering discounts and other event costs and schedules. Set aside those dates now !
The 2016 AGM in Elizabeth, Colorado concluded with the installation of a new CRA board of officers for 2 year terms. Changes in the Board include past-president Liz Ross moving over to Treasurer, and VP Communications Paul Ross, who also runs the website, has taken on the duties of President. A summary of the AGM actions and other "CRA Biz" are in the Member's section of the website .
